Logline: True story of androgynous gay teenager Bertie Marshall who, after he moves in to David Bowie’s street, discovers music, the Sex Pistols and the infamous Bromley Contingent of punk fans that includes Siouxsie Sioux, Steve Severin and Billy Idol.
Berlin Bromley will be a co-production between Moore’s Lore Media and Gizmo Films. Founded in 1986 Gizmo is a well-established, award-winning UK film production company with a range of projects in production and development as well as a fascinating and diverse back catalogue of completed productions. Titles include ‘Mad To Be Normal’ (2016) starring David Tenant and Elisabeth Moss, ‘Funny Cow’ (2017) starring Maxine Peake and Paddy Considine, and ‘The Quiet One’ (2018), a documentary about former Rolling Stone Bill Wyman.
The film is due to go into production in summer 2018 with a release expected in early 2019. It will be produced by Neal alongside Gizmo Films’ Charlotte Arden and is now open for investment under the government’s SEIS and EIS tax relief schemes.
